As the top man in FA Premier League, he made it the top football competition in the world investing majorly in building new stadiums, increasing attendances, and allowing major international stars to play there.

Rick Paray became part of the Premier League in 1991 when he was recruited from his position as a senior management consultant of the leading UK firm Ernst & Young. A year after that, he became the chief executive of the professional football competition. As the Premier League CEO, Paray was able to close negotiation deals for television coverage at a staggering rate of £214 million over five years.

His involvement with football is very evident even before since he himself is a die hard Liverpool fan. Having studied at the University of Liverpool, his passion for the game grew even more as the days pass in his stay in the university.
